august has been a spectacular month for mintrubbing.org. countless sites linked to us and helped spread the word about this fascinating human tradition:
- capital magazine nominated mintrubbing.org as "site of the week" in their aug 14, 2003 issue. writes the magazine: "Frecatul mentei este un obicei romanesc practicat de milioane de oamenii inca din cele mai vechi timpuri. Romanian Mint Rubbing Association (Asociatia Romana a Frecatorilor de Menta) te va ajuta sa iti perfectionezi tehnicile in frecatul mentei si poti obtine chiar o diploma." thank you kind people.
- radio contact talked about the site in the aug 7, 2003 edition of their "contact pe net" show. says radio contact: "Chiar daca se spune de multe ori despre romani ca au simtul umorului, pe web acestia nu prea isi fac simtita prezenta. Adica, zilele trecute am vrut sa ma relaxez pe un site cu mult umor, numai ca acestea sunt rare, iar prezenta unora este discutabila. dan sent us some additional information for our snake II guide: "I've played snake II on the Nokia models 3310, 6210, 6310 and, last but not least 3510. The conclusion that I've reached is that the game is more fun to play on 3510, due to the sound and vibrator effects, but the best phone for doing this seems to be the infamous 3310, for the good grip and handling you can get by using it. Darn, my phone (the 6210) isn't made for mint rubbing... Hope that I wos somewhat helpful".
