Letter from the editors
Dear mint rubbers and mint rubberettes, at last the third issue of the critically acclaimed Mint Rubing Journal
hits the web and from there your computer monitors. To be honest, when closing up the previous issue last month we were a bit concerned for the future: it seemed at that time that all there was to be said about mint rubbing was
already said. How wrong we were. Now as we're closing up the third issue, we're proud to see that the journal gets better with every month - and only you can be the judge of that.
Without any further delays we invite you to start studying the present issue right now:
find a confortable location, get some quality mint and start rubbing.
|
Do not rush and do not take the materials lightly: you might miss essential
information! You have been warned. You will not want to finish all the articles in a short time because this issue will have to last until the last weeks of
March, when the fourth issue is scheduled for release. The suggested dose is one article per day. Experienced mint rubbers can try reading an entire page per day, but this is only for professionals. Share and enjoy!.
Click here to send us you thoughts or here to tell a friend about the journal. And don't forget to
send us your own contributions for the next issue. We are all counting on you.

So now it's your turn to be proud of your mint rubbing activities - show to the world that you are a proud member of the Romanian Mint Rubbing Association. Don't hide any longer.
Just save one of the above logos and place it on your webpage with an optional link to the RMRA webpage at http://rmra.cleverobjects.com. Rub mint and be proud.
Don't forget to send us the link to your webpage - we will compile a list of all active supporters.

The Photographic Camera
I would suggest a useful device to improve or
diversify one's mint rubbing skills - the photographic camera. Imagine
yourself on a mountain trail and out of breath. Your mint leafs are
somewhere deep in your back pack, practically out of reach, but your
camera hangs handy from your neck. So what do you do ? You spot
instantly a rock, a flower, a cliff, a tree, or one of your fellow
backpackers and stop to take a picture.

No one will have the slightest suspicion about it. Mint rubbing
opportunities can arise from virtually every where - in the city,
at work, in the preferred park or on the road. Ideal is a sophisticated
camera which needs lots of adjustments and a bag full of lenses and
accessories. A tripod is of great help. To maximize the benefits from any
photographic mint rubbing experience, use slide film, slide shows are a
good way to magnify tenfold the time spent initially while taking the pictures.
And it's also a good way to initiate others in the secret ways of mint rubbing.(Radu Ocica)
